It all started with a dream…

Kris and his wife, Sarah, both had successful careers in New York City, but neither of them was really happy, and they knew that they had to make a change. They thought long and hard about what their dream careers would look like, saved up, and they found the best training in country for what they wanted to do. For Sarah that was nutrition and yoga, and for Kris it was teaching music.

Kris studied at the prestigious Drummer's Collective with some of the country's best minds in drumming who include: Vince Cherico, Mark Flynn, Jason Gianni, Fred Klatz, Pat Petrillo, Peter Retzlaff, & Adriano Santos. All of these teachers are not only some of the best players around, but are also amazing teachers. Each one of these teachers left a little mark on Kris and inspired him to explore new styles and different techniques.

Kris and his wife moved to Austin to be a part of all of the exciting things that Austin has to offer. When Kris found out that Capital Music Center uses technology to teach students to learn, he was immediately interested in helping to build a program that revolves around Roland's Music Tutor.

Now Kris and Sarah are working hard in their new careers and are expecting their first child! They are happy to be starting a new chapter, and it all started with a dream!
