Jessie

Piano Faculty

Jessie wasn’t born in Austin, but she got here as fast as she could! A Tyler native, Jessie began studying piano at the age of 5. She went on to obtain her Bachelors of Music in piano and viola from Texas State University at San Marcos where she graduated cum laude.  During Jessie’s time at the university she went on tour in Europe with the Texas State Symphony, performed with Mariachi de SWT on violin, and began performing and writing music for local bands. Jessie is an accompanist at St. John’s Catholic Church in San Marcos and a founding member of the Hill Country Strings, a local string quartet.

Here’s what Ms. Jessie’s students have to say about her:

“I really enjoy my lessons.  I absolutely love Jessie.  She has never said you ‘cannot’ do this because you are a beginner.  She is supportive and I couldn't be happier with my progress and I attribute a lot of that to Jessie”. –Mick W, adult piano student

“Amber loves the lessons and loves to practice with the disks and different instrument sounds on the piano at home!  The time is just perfect for Amber's attention span at age six.   She loves Ms. Jessie and we are amazed at how well she is doing after such a short time.  We plan to be with Capital Music for many years to come!” –Carol C, proud parent

“I like the lessons, and I have found that studying piano has made me a better musician in general as well as a better pianist. My instructor, Jessie, is awesome.  When I use the disks, they are very helpful for figuring out the rhythm, melody, and so on.” –Dane D, adult piano student

“I felt I choose the right place for my kids to start learning piano.  My kids like the challenge of practicing with the disks and like Miss Jessie very much and look forward to lesson night every week.”  Winnie C, parent of Felix & Rachel
